Why we're on Patreon
imprint decided to join Patreon for a few reasons:

​We want to share our talented writers and fantastic articles with as wide an audience as possible.

We’re turning to Patreon to help grow our readership and notoriety. In the short term, this means paying for advertisements to grow our following.
In the future, we would love to be able to create a sustainable business model in which our staff and writers can be paid for the incredible efforts they put into making imprint the magazine it is.
One thing will never change though: every last penny we raise from Patreon will go directly back into the magazine and its community.

It’s been 9 months since we began our journey as an online magazine and our team is so passionate and excited for our future. We're going into the next few months with even more energy, and can't wait to spark new discussions on sustainability and activism. Your account will be charged on the 1st of January - on this date your welcome gift will be packed up and shipped.

A note on gifting: Patreon is not currently set up to facilitate gifting memberships. This is a big shame for people who love to give presents and want to share their enjoyment of imprint as widely as possible! So - we’ve come up with a crafty way around it. Follow our step by step guide below:
​
1. Create a new email account (gmail, outlook, hotmail...) to be used by the person receiving your Patreon gift. Creativity in email address names strongly encouraged!
​
2. Go to our Patreon page and purchase a membership with the new email address. When asked to provide a name and shipping address, input those of your lucky friend/family member. As stated above, the welcome pack will be shipped on the 1st of January after your bank account is charged.
​
3. You'll receive email confirmation of the membership to the new email address, and a printable welcome card will be available for you on our Patreon page. On Christmas/gifting day, simply hand over the Patreon login details to your recipient in whatever format you like!
​
4. A Patreon membership is unlimited. But if you want to gift for a set amount of time (i.e. 3 or 6 months) then simply cancel the membership after that duration - no hard feelings!
